Inter Miami has landed in Saudi Arabia.
After missing out on the playoffs in 2023, the Herons made it a point to revamp their roster during the off-season.
“We’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff to support [Tata Martino] and his staff and all the players to make sure we’re performing everywhere in the club,” said CSO Chris Henderson in his end-of-year conference.
“We’re looking at everything to improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club,” Henderson continued.
“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”
Already, the team has added reinforcements in Julian Gressel, Nicolas Freire, and Luis Suarez. On January 25th, the squad landed in Saudi Arabia before having their first practice on the 26th.
Miami will play the aforementioned Al Nassr on February 1st after playing Al Hilal on the 29th.Though many fans were concerned about the team’s excessive travel, according to the club’s social media, Miami is traveling with over 100 staff and personnel to make sure the team is fit and their needs are taken care of.
Additionally, Miami manager Tata Martino will likely rotate players before true fatigue begins to develop.
All in all, this preseason trip is another way for Miami’s brand to grow, as well as get the team some valuable minutes against solid competition.
