I just love cobalt blue. This blue shade is so eye-searing, making humans and creatures in it conspicuous. Additionally, this color only combines harmoniously and beautifully with several colors, bright yellow and jet black, for instance. What will happen if these three colors turn up on a bird’s plumage? That gorgeous flying creature will certainly be at the center of attention whenever they appear.

The golden-crowned tanager is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. It’s native to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. These birds feed mainly on seeds, fruits, nectar, flower parts. The breeding season is from March through to June in temperate areas, with males showing off their brightest feathers to potential mates and possible male rivals. A nest is built by the female in an area with dense vegetation where a clutch of up to five eggs is laid. She alone incubates the eggs with the male kicking in to help feed the young once they have hatched.

Even though this bird is uncommon in its range, due to the exten of its range it is regarded as of Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. If you fall in love with the cobalt blue, bright yellow and jet black plumage of these golden-crowned tanagers, just introduce them to your family and friends. Nature is amazing.
