Man City legend Sergio Aguero will return to football next month, nearly 2 years after being forced to retire due to heart disease.
On December 15, 2021, striker Aguero held a personal press conference to make the decision to bid farewell to Barca and at the same time retire from his football career after being advised by doctors to stop playing professionally due to suffers from irregular heartbeat and if he tries to play, his life could be threatened.
Nearly two years after leaving football, Aguero is preparing to return to the field. On Wednesday it was announced that Aguero will participate in the all-star friendly match organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). It is expected that the match will take place at DRV PNK Stadium – home of Inter Miami, where his close friend Lionel Messi is playing. Aguero will be alongside former Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho and former Argentine teammate Gonzalo Higuain.

Aguero became one of the most feared strikers in world football after joining Man City from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
