The handing out of rings to the Summer League champions began last year, when the Portland Trail Blazers won the championship. And the Cavaliers become the second team to have this honor. Before that, the winning team in Las Vegas received only the championship trophy and a jersey.

ESPN’s Malika Andrews has shared the first look at the Cavaliers ring.

Like last year, this year’s championship ring features Summer’s logo in the center of the ring with “2023” above and “Champions” below, with some diamonds attached. The side of the ring features the NBA2K Summer League logo with the NBA logo next to it. The reverse reads “Las Vegas 2023” and has an image of the Summer League championship trophy on the back.

Through the championship ring, the NBA also expressed its appreciation to the production unit, Las Vegas. The NBA detailed its introduction to the 2022 championship ring.

The championship ring is about 35 cm long and resembles a rolled card in gold vermeil. The centerpiece features a basketball court pattern with achievements inscribed across the center, while the outer face features a patterned etched basketball and nets inspired by a classic deck of cards.

ESPN’s Malika Andrews also shared an image of the Blazers’ championship ring from last year for fans to compare.

The Cavaliers finished this year’s Summer League with 6 outright wins. In the last game against the Rockets, the 2016 NBA champion team had a pretty easy victory when they took the lead from the first half and held the lead for most of the game.

Isaiah Mobley, the player selected by the Cavaliers in the 49th round, in the second round of this year’s Draft, is the standout player in this championship game. He scored 28 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Mobley’s steady performance at both ends of the field helped the Cavaliers defeat the Rockets by a score of 99-78 and win the championship. This was the Cavaliers’ first Summer League title.
