It’s NFL Draft week, which means that football fans will be treated to a relentless news cycle of rumors and potential trades amid the coronavirus pandemic, right? Not exactly. While the buzz hasn’t necessarily let us down, this particular piece of content just wasn’t necessary. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and girlfriend Brittany Matthews took to Instagram to showcase their efforts in the “koala challenge,” a growing tend among quarantined couples in which the objective is basically to circumnavigate your partner without touching the ground.
If you ask us, that’s was pretty freaking weird. Addressing Matthews’ caption: one attempt was plenty.
We get that the couple is bored while social distancing, but they really don’t need to be filling our timelines with cringeworthy videos that feature Matthews going full koala on Mahomes. They found themselves in so many awkward positions that we really could’ve went the rest of our lives without seeing.
Now THAT is the kind of wholesome content we tend to prefer to see.
Matthews should consider posting more clips of herself and Mahomes working out during quarantine. That — or pretty much anything other than what we just witnessed — would suffice.
