Despite his earlier claims that it would lead to a “feud” with his wife Brittany, Patrick Mahomes has traveled to the Yankees for the Royals’ series finale. Mahomes obviously wanted to be present to support his hometown team, the Kansas City Chiefs, who are of course neighbors of the Royals, as they host a crucial ALDS game versus New York.
However, when the Chiefs defeated the Saints the previous weekend, he hinted that attending the game would pose problems with his wife Brittany.
“We’ll definitely feud because it’s bye week, Brittany’s on vacation and me going to the Royals game,” Mahomes remarked.
However, Mahomes was photographed at the game; his brother Jackson shared a photo of the two of them sporting Royals shirts.

There is a one-game draw in the series.
After the Royals tied the game on Wednesday, Mahomes could be seen furiously reacting while watching Game 3 with Gehrig Dieter, a former Chiefs receiver and Yankees supporter.
The Chiefs updated the scoreboard with in-game information while playing the Saints.
The Chiefs defeated New Orleans 26–13, while the Royals tied their ALDS series with the Yankees 4–2.
Regarding the in-stadium updates, Mahomes stated, “I really wanted to focus on the game and then let look after and maybe get, like, a scoreboard kind of shot of it.”
“And they gave us a couple of those, but you could tell that things were moving along nicely, and there was a little lull there—I believe toward the end of the game.”
